What is a "vine" or "permavine"?A Permavine is a show on CD-R offered to a group of people for free, with the understanding that the recipient make a copy, put the original back into the original mailer (if it's not trashed!) and offers it up to another fan - who will do the same - ad infinitum (therefore 'perma' - neverending!).
The shows are offered up in shorten format because the received 'compressed' disc, once 'decoded' by the free software widely available, will produce a digital clone of the original disc, only in .wav format - ready to burn!
