Question

Answer

Are The Beatles a BTAT? I keep seeing posts for their old bootleg albums.

Okay, here we fall into one of the "gray" areas.  The Beatles are as such not taper-friendly.  The reasoning behind old bootleg albums of bands being offered up is this, if enough of the old bootlegs are given away freely and traded, then the people who made to boot will realize no sales and not be able to profit off of the band illegally.  These offerings are quite often referred to as "liberated boots" because they have been liberated from the bootlegger who is only around to make an illegal and parasitic living off of a band's hard work.  The feeling is that the recording is already out there, but at least we can stop someone from profiting illegally from it.
